GAWDI-BROWN ARSE HITS OUT AT THE CULTURE OF VIOLENCE
In good old conservative and religious tradition the so called leader of the UK government tells his world that YOUNG people are at-risk from the sex and the violence on techno-things like TV and DVD. What we need, he says, is a new social contract. We must help those to help themselves to better value-added pursuits.
Did we not hear this many years ago from the USA leaders of cultural violence?
Have we not heard this term "at-risk" already quite enough in an uninsurable world of an unsustainable political-economy?
No matter Brown-Arse will blame and shame just the same. In his tradition you see.
Much better, I suggest in humble fashion, is to build upon protest and participation for real whereby politicos and bussinessicos will be blamed and shamed for their nasty promotions of their culture of violence !!!!!!!!
Therapy courses are, of course, needed here for politicians "at-risk".
How can we help politicians to avoid this culture of risky violence?
For Gawdy-Gawdy sakes we need such a "programme" and help-line!

GAWDI-BROWN ARSE FINDS HIS BALLS
The new "Prezzi-Brutarian" Herra Brown relies on his Balls to lead the way in the latest intelligence test for the UK re-puke-an-lic. The early morning gatherings today are to be all together now, all together now. After a viewing from the big screen of Osprey Williwinbe there will come a group, well-being, song sung by the mass as mass. The song goes :-
" I feel I am I know I am
I'm H.A.P.P.Y
I'm happy, I'm happy
I feel I am
I know I am,
I'm H.A.P.P.Y.

BREAKING WIND-E-NEWS
An ongoing investigation of the Harold Wilson files ( it was said that Wilson forbid the works or words of George Orwell to be "even thought about" ) has been, again, halted and this time the order comes from the "New Prezzi" Gawdy Brown. Before, the good reader will recall, it was both Thatcher and Blair that stopped this investigation as it was not, they claimed, in "the National Interest". ( it was only in the interests of those revolting peasants that run hospitals and trains and pay graduated pensions!!!). But the Harold Wilson files have been put back into that box and away from freedom of information.
However, it is rumoured that there are more middle class peasants revolting today and to publish the Harold Wilson "memos" would make a tidy buck as well as rock the boat of Blatcherism. One family member of the Wilson reproductive-circle has even said ( although un-printable as yet) that " Why should Thatcher and Blair take all the credit when my father was already there many years before?"
Also banned from public eyes is a quote from Edward Heath concerning the " lean to the right of a Wilson regime when our society should find the middle ground of a new Europe ...... and avoid the wars that will come along through the new Fascism that is slowly creeping into a debased Labour party..."

SOCKING IT TO TROUSERS AS SERIOUS STUFF
In my last post I used the "quaint" term "grobble". Trousers asked about this word although really the picture of Mr Punch and Judy showed it all a thousand times or more already. However as Trousers is keen and clean in most of his ways the Zola feels quite obliged to be serious and to say more about this " to grobble or be grobbled or to be involved in grobble and grobbling". However there is also "grobbl(ed)" which has an educational intent and/or consequence, manifest or latent - this can be intentional or unintentional, also, and even, have no obvious consequences, at least for now - and I must leave it up to the French Intellectuals to sort out the rest. However a few guidelines :-
1) Grobble has a Finngelski origin rather than a Latin origin. Grobble is a term of and for the blogosphere as a written Oral Tradition.
2) Grobble is a process rather than a A-nouning-act ( it is also verbing the world). In this the grobble is situated before and beyond idle definition. It is also relational.
3) A "grobble" is related, in the process, to a fairly predictable set of timetabled happenings which often, but not always, display a blurred pattern, as in a) a "goosing", b) a "giggle" and, c) a "gobble. Then; d) a gaggle to be followed by a "real grobbling event". ( who said the postModern has no timetables?)
4) It is rumoured that one part of this oral tradition of the grobble is also related to a certain Beadle surprising, an oft mentioned, Mrs Malaprop to such an extent that she was to try and speak out loud with her mouth full ( not a usual politeness from Mrs Malaprop) so who can tell in this world without origins? Far be it for me to promote rumour but in the name of truth your Zola does is best to inform.
Zola hopes that this serious post helps all TEFL professionals to grapple with the evolution of EEOT ( English as an Evolutionary Oral Tradition). It is also hoped that Trousers will find his lost sock now and find that extra footing he seeks. My god I will need all the help I can get if Butwhatif starts up agin. So Zola is serious and kindly today.

IS THIS THE END OF THE REAL MR PUNCH?
In a grobble with Judy after all that?
But this is the NuLabor ending it seems.
Just to re-cap. The crocodile did get the sausages and the baby was thrown into the linen basket ( nice and soft there) and the policeman was knocked abit with the infamous stick but all was well.
Professor Pulson left out the BABY WITH THE CROCODILE.
Punch did NOT give the baby to the crocodile.
And please do not say yes he did because no he did not.
Your poor Zola was almost in a tantrum when this happened.
But NyLabor refused to support Prof Pulson and his Punch and Judy show so I wonder if this is the way to get cultural capital today in the UK.
Just change the main story-lines.
So there was a happy ending.
Moral of story : do not rock the boat or feed the baby to the crocodile.

E-Cheques have arrived and I trust my clients I do.
I am also a respectable provider of pubic services.
So the next stage of the saga of Punch and Judy may be activated.
Unless we hear anybody from the backbenchers yelling out no more, no more or Merkin has never been really married before but he is on our files as married.

FIRST PERFORMANCE SOON ( get yer subscriptions at the ready)
The Punch and Judy antidigital display warms up.
Apologies to Professor John Pulson from Southwold for any future anarchy. You must remember that the Southwold NuLabor Council does not contribute which means that they would find it difficult to sue. But Prof John Pulson deserves respect as a host of young children and I joined in this wonderful frolic of seaside delight.
To subscribe to this long awaited performance just :-
a) answer the question below well, and
b) send a e-cheque to anti-depress@Trousers.dottycom
The question is : Is Mr Punch a good role model for the young people of today?
AND THE BAND PLAYED WALTZING MATILDA
In "absolute essence" says another NyLabor layabout with a Brown nose. The EU will be reformed constitutionally with a treaty that was well negotiated for UK folk by the one and only Blatcher-Patcher anti-unionist imsen.
I hear the "Four Green Fields" is rarely sung today. Shame.
Everybody trusts their very own "absolute essence" and in the UK this suits a few, a very few, a very very very few, people.
But my sons have sons as proud as ever their father.........

ZOLA : A GOOD CONSERVATION(ally)IST YES?
As the UK includes wonderful hedgehogs in their plans to conserve wonderful things your exiled Zola feels proud.
Serve the hedgehogs every evening I do. I take out that which the cat leaves as unfinished and to stink the house out. I add lots of water and place in a dish which the hedgehogs have fun with as they love to tip the dish up and engulf themselves inside as if wearing a dishy hat.
The cat keeps those nasty long tailed, black, ratti-like ( never conserve those nasty things) creatures at bay by hunting and eating. Birds pick up the pieces the fussy pussy refuses. Brown things too are not for conservation says our cat. Fussy Pussy? Never would vote NyLabor you know.
But I smell a rat here somewhere. What about all this wonderful or nasty labelling. The wicked and wonderful Merkin for example is in need of conservation. Why does the UK government not include the Merkin under this conservation plan?
I suspect that Mrs Malaprop(a doodle-dandy) is another breed that needs help.
I would say the same for our tasty LavenderBlue if it were not for the fact that she will reproduce her species no matter what others say or do ( when women began to refuse the bra as an act of liberation LaviBlue was already refusing knickers). But there should be, at least, a special day put aside for our always threated Lavigal. She might always gain a few bucks ( Bucks I said!!!).

WHAT IS IT ABOUT SUNDAY?
There I was content and hazing around on a Sunday morning when news comes. The first winter-wood supplies would arrive soon.
This year we have ordered our wood from a local family that will sell us those most precious birch logs.
But, goddamit on a Sunday ( especially after a long Saturday trying to educate LavenderBlue on football and Nottingham).
To cut (ouch) and long story short... this week will be the death, yet again, of the drinking classes. This is no mere bundle. This is...... 5 trailers of logs.
The only good things are that, first we keep warm in winter. Second, everytime I use that chain saw I get good vibrations.
Zola is a very erect greenie when he has a chain saw working.
Better than the coal mines.

Bank of England ( privatised Brown-points as England that is) Says....
These debts will remain social debts not economic debts.
As GDP ( whoever cared for that under Blatcherisim?) sinks under personal debt and responsibility and as being a bankrupt no longer is being a kraut-jew ( just look at the football me lads) - as GDP is fucked to the personal debt-culture industry then it is best for UK folk to move away methinks.
Money-for-money-for-money is but a risk-upon-risk-upon-risk.
What we need is a risk-upon-risk-upon-risk analysis.
Fuck me when I was a virgin.............
But now I need three condoms AND a wank at the end !!!!! ( sori more if you please and tease me no more).
The Triple-X-factor? Oh so very personal ---- sori.

KEEP THE FRIENDLY HOME FIRES BURNING
OK the US kills a few Brits again in friendly fire. OK? Not ok.
But nor is it OK for Big brits to kill "Others" in friendly fire, so there.
It is all OK as our "Ken" weeps and bleeps from a London centre.
It is all OK as Brits still remain tied and tried to a tradition that was never really OK anyway. But that "Centre" cared little for the real Fringes outside of ........
Me fingerprints are on code 27564.
Public knowledge that although I cannot say more.
In fact I cannot even use !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! very often

MY UK THERAPIST HAS ASKED ME TO EAT MORE MEAT
The Elk ( some fools call it a Moose) farts too much and damages the carbon copy of an eco-sphere (? , umm, yes...). Anyway the Elk farts too much for human healthy and wealthy programmes.
What can be said?
Elk meat is really good.
I mean bootiful-bestest-good.
Kill more Elk and save the world.
Love the meat the Dr Feelgood said.
If you want to play a part in this programme just read " THE Times" and then slot into the first available flight to the Nordic Lands ( THE Times will help you here).
Stop farting Elk we say. Save our world. The Queen of England supports this as farting is not a done-thing.
UK professors support this too as they think ( even if not bloggers) that farting is just not a decent word to use in society.
Stop the farting Elks.
After review I must say that the Merkin and Anticant are already under investigation and I have heard that soon Trousers and LavenderBlue will be inspected for elk-like anti social behaviour. Anna Mr is already keeping low key on this because her beloved Finland is involved ( and she has contacts, by text massages, to the Forign Minister).
All responsible citizens hold hands and spiritually call for forgiveness as there is a fear that Mrs Malaprop farts too.

AT NO TIME SHOULD YOU ....
After the BBC and other respectable media barons covered Keith Richards and the Rolling Stones on-stage-acts of smoking ( yes smoking!!!!) we see that the Beeb asks for photos from those that were present at such stage acts. Fair enough we suppose and good interactive journo stuff. But then comes the warning :-
" At no time should you endanger yourself or others, take any unnecessary risks or infringe any laws. " ( from the BBC )
Perhaps this BBC risk-management statement could be applied to the UK war mongers that enjoy long summer holidays in the silly season.
Methinks the father of Mr J. Depp is OK but something else is a bit wrong. I cannot just put my finger on it.

LANGUAGE : A GAME OF OUR TIMES
In English speaking cultures ( and not meaning those strange people that speak English as a Foreign Language better that Brits speak their own) We have found, through detailed and solid research, that the most popular mind-set word is "ME". The second most popular is "I" used as a word directly.
Also we found that the term "APPROPRIATE" is another sign of these times and places.
Sources reveal that the Queen of England has taken an interest in this. ITV, the Brit TV station, makes a bid to cover this cultural industry wave of anti-wee and me-pee stains on the red carpet.
Some bloggers have been interviewed already. ITV will not give out details but it is appropriate to say that many bloggers want secretly to be Queens. However, it seems that the bloggers take only themselves as the subject.
We will try to keep you updated on this significant issue.

Damit NO SLEEP for a Zola in these storms of discontent
UK seeks a "Topless" image and they label it e-quality.
I suspect that a few "down-to-earth" nether-regions are needed here before the UK can really shake em down ( Do you love me, do you love me now that I can dance...)
Shit shit take it all down..... down, down .....
Like a mashed spud
Peel it all off
Feel me, fell me, FOIL me
DO YOU?
Love me.....
Do you like it like that?

THE DOMESTICATION OF BLOGGER AWARDS
Jesus wept this stuff is becoming an institution.
Narcissus and Nasturtium es(t) spiritus dum fortussusssus.
Forte non superb-e-baywatch I say.
If I get involved in any more of these blogger awards and tugs and tags I will throw a wobbler and print picts of ME topless.
Could I pass a GSCE with that?
Could I become a A-Class Blogger ?
Bloggers are ok and I enjoy the real fray (when it appens) but all these blogger awards are just too much for a ZO-ZO-BEER to take.
Save me from getting pissed again on all this!!!!
Save ME pleezze!!!!!!!!!!!
Maybe too late.....

WHAT IS IT ABOUT HORSES ?
Horses bring fear to so many but joy to "others".
But maybe that is something to do with riders in their storms.
I say "Votes for Horses".
Votes for women too !!!!
But woman meat and horse or cow meat ( or milk) is under investigation.
Votes for men too !!!!
Eat yer testicles I will.
When mad cows get prime TV time why do horses get ignored when they are just waiting to be the next in the next stud-line?
Votes for WEASELS and ROGUES and banjo players.
Votes for Imps too.
This is called the "Enlighticementisementi"process.
Just call this the anticimentiparty vote if you will.
Votes for all?
Leap up an down with yer knickers in the air - OK.

ZOLA TRICKERY OUTED BY YOUNG UPSTART
It has been a very bad weekend for so many. SVEN-the-Grey and his Asian cash flow new-blue dolls ousted the USA in RED-Manchester UNITED. Denmark apologises for this.
Protest in the UK kicked in the teeth yet again by Black Knights on horseback. Never known this before ..... as referenced by a solid researcher of modern antiques. It will never happen again Prime Minister you are free now to ......
But to cap it all that wicked hairy-hunky and horny Merkin has openly implied that Zola is living in history and is an old-fart. Zola is abused for not keeping his blogrole up to date. Lawyers are working on this right now.
There is more. I was spotted on Sunday doing three terrible things. First riding a bicycle to a forest area. Second, on a Sunday, riding alongside me missus. Third spotted picking blue berries and taking them home.
I was spotted and told, on the spot, that if i did not own up to these anti-capitalist acts of potential terror I would be spread all over the internet.
So I confess.
I did those damned things and on a Sunday too.
Cheaper for me to have me self-esteem and public image knocked to pieces than hire another lawyer methinks.

James Taylor : a "Great Song Writer".
After a few hips and flicks, pricks and kicks, we learn that James Taylor was a good singer-songwriter.
This from his "trouble and strife" ( wife) Carly Simon.
Anticipation now gets a new meaning and ok for that.
The world keeps spinning around.
So close your eyes.... It's ok
Better sometimes to hear the music through your feet or your hands.
better to play.
Just play.
It's ok

WIKIPEDIA : just a wee update
OK Wikidpeadia has been really wikedified. Jesus wept the truth gets warped. For fucks sake tell us something new.
The Independent newspaper still says that Wikipedia is bent upon "democratic acts of knowledge". Sori. Just not true. Wikipedia refuses democratatisation of knowledge as has always said that. Independent please correct your truth claims.
However. FIRESTONE ( infamous rubber trye people of Formula 1) quickly deleted my informative posts concerning slave labour.
In educational circles I found that the trade marked "Outward Bound" had hijacked the total outdoor adventure education site. My alternative comments were blocked. But here the main editor half admitted this in public.
Wikipedia is not good and not bad.
But some people that manipulate it deserve a telling off ( fuck it that was too polite methinks).
What do you expect for a Saturday..........?

TRI-BRUTE TO GI ELVIS THE PELVIS
With an early apology to Cliff Richards, just in case of litigation UK style.
1. GI Elvis had never been able to read Spike Milligan so he lost the war and helped get more and more fighters for that lost cause. When Elvis died the music lived again. I remember then saying that this is the day when fuck music returns.
2. We would not have had the "Monkys" if Elvis had not sponsored them or taught them how to play real-good guitar. I am not a believer.
3. I have a bigger-dickus and do not need some Tom Jones/ Mick Jagger jockstrap to turn you all on. ( actually I may be fibbing here a little for a just cause.)

FINANCIAL CRISIS OR SAME OLD STORY?
After the Reith Lectures and the past few weeks of "volitile" markets poor Zola is forced into the "Serious Stuff".
Firmly written words say that those that end up taking those risks are those that are in no position to handle those risks. Those that make those risks are quite able to handle those risks.
What is more is that those that end of paying for those risks are those that can least afford it.
The point?
Same old story.

JUST A QUICKIE ON UK LANGUAGE GAMES
As said before the UK language games are either management training spraket ( you know those targets and things) or psycho-babble USA style. But there is another language game that I picked up on the recent travel. It relates to medico-verbosity ( and nobody seemed to know the meanings behind those words that they used).
For example I learnt about one person who had had a "STRAPADICKTOME" operation and I was told that that explained the constant smile and the wide open eyes.
Can anybody advise on this?
Would love to know........

SINCERE APOLOGIES : BEFORE ME INK GETS BLOTTED
There has been another delay in the Punch and Judy Show report. This has been due to a minor fauz pas cum technical hitch ( quite common for Zo.Zo.Beer).
This most regular blogsite tries so hard to maintain timetables and to keep the regularity intact but sometimes there is a "Waiting for Godot" virus that is one unintentional consequence of Modern Times at work.
So, until I can re-manage this global promise I hope you will be happy and keep up your consumer confidence through this little ditty-bit :-
" Habit is the ballast that chains the dog to his vomit. "

WEIGHTY ISSUES FROM THE UK
On return to Finland I have noticed that I have "put on" 6 kilos. Those full English cooked breakfasts could not be refused. In fact I was usually first in for breakfast with tongue hanging out and mouth watering. Add to that my early morning papers and this 6 kilo weight begins to make sense. I really must change my reading habits and get the Megastar rags. Better for me ealth.
But no worries. I can still see me penis without looking in the mirror.
Ah the most important things in life.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS RECORDED
Trip to UK.
From aeroplanes through to airports I failed to understand the English language announcements. All sounded strange to me. It seemed like many large concerns employed "speakers" that could not speak clearly.
Result = few listened.
I was so fed up with this towards the end that I was beaten into rage. I firmly asked one check-in supervisor : " What the fuck are you talking about", as I struggled to make sense of even the 50% that I managed to semi-understand.
There was me thinking that the UK was serious about safety messages.
Oh well, just goes to show.....

b) Another BRANSTON PICKLE
c) A DVD for a fiver : " Life of Brian".
d) Smelly socks
e) A wonderful tee-shirt concerning Aszbo promotions
f) My discharge papers from the Royal Marines
g) My missing works from Karl Marx
h) More Branston Pickle
i) The signature of Orlando Bloomy-boomy ( for my youngest daughter you will of course understand).
j) Electric pictures from the Punch and Judy show on the beach at Southwold.
k) ......... and a few more odds and sods
Jesus... Am I really that normal?
Thank God I am saved.
I forgot to mention the other ten jars of BRANSTON PICKLE

THIS IS NOT A PUBLIC TEXT but ....
Lord Somerleyton asks for help with his radical postmodern son ( soon to be the Lord imself). At 35 years of age still no fine woman to pin im down and re-create the pure pleasures of recreational pursuits. - this young eligable guy is in need. Father, who has been the Master of the Gee-Gees, seeks a stable companion for the airy-fairy-son.
Well LavenderBlue : I gave im your address although, with hindsight, I might have asked you first. Owever : job done.
To help you a little my LavenderB I can tell you that the soon-to-be Lord failed in his first big duty. He was to manage the pub on the estate ( Duke's Head). But at 35 years of age he has time on his side if he can find a "Woman on Top" to pin im down.
They have very nice gardens too.

MUST BE GETTING EXCITED OR ...
Thinking to meself this morning as the crows rasped their rantings as they do. I grabbed at a few memories of a real community. Romantic I may be but I do hope that next week in the UK the early morning newsagent will greet me as I will visit each day around six. I hope he or she will know which newspapers I wish for. I hope to be able to say a good "Good Morning" with a world in a smile.
I hope that the pub(s) I will visit of an evening time will quickly get to know my drink and never keep asking me "what do you want old man".
But as Ivan Illich used to say so well it is better to live in hope than expectation.
I blame Tug Boat Anna and Trousers for all this reflection-like vanity but there you have it and there it is.

THE MORAL COMPASS AND SELECTED AWKS
As the BOY Scouts and GIRL Guides get famous again ( be-jesus those groups are older than our beloved Antipants) it came to me as a kind of Trouser-like dream.
Merkin as a Boy Scout : " Clean in thought, word and deed". ???? But along came Scout Leader Antirunt and set the Merkin to rights. Just imagine them both in short shorts.
LavenderBlue as a good Girl Guide : " Never say Yes to a Merkin type and never allow them into your tent", she says. She added : " Go painting and avoid those temptations of the flesh". ( Anna Mr joins the weekend book-reading group where the story was a question of - whatever happened to SuzyQ?)
Merkin returns : " I am turned and learned", he says, " Safe sex ok but please do not put a condom on me slide-rule".
Trousers goes off in a thoughtful mood. ( Did I miss out on something he asks himself in a private moment) - "Be thrifty" said the Scout Law, never get into debt.
JOIN THE SCOUTS YOUNG LAD says Antirunt.
Anyway what a wonderful British institution the Scouts and Guides movement.

RITES-DE-PASSAGE
After slowly moving from pen and paper through to typewriter and then computer I began to ask myself just what were those "moving-moments" of change so that the official know-alls would bless me and then press me again for more.
But maybe such a "rites-de-passage" is no longer a happening in this brand new-world.
Anybody out there to help me understand the "rites-de-passage" events today.

EIGHT RANDOM FACTS FROM ZOLA
( I do this only once and only because I want to suck the web of Anna Mr who demanded this of me )
1. My grandmother had hair down to her hips although she usually wore it all up in a kind of big bun. The smell of my grandmothers bed remains with me today. I used to sleep there sometimes when my mother and father went dancing and the like. I would have been about 3 years old I guess. But the smell remains of her special warm bed.
2. As a five year old the Saturday morning was very special. With two friends of the same age I collected, between 8.00 and 11.00, any old iron, scrap, papers, rags and whatever from the local houses. The families expected us every Saturday and they were ready with the junk which we put on a two wheeled hand-held cart. Then we went to the scrap metal and ragman place to sell what we had collected. Just a fact that is strong in my memory. It was exciting and fun.
3. By 11 years of age my mother had learnt the right question to ask me when I came home from a school day. " How many times did you get caned today?", she would ask. Got caned once by a teacher and laughed because he tried to hit me so hard his glasses flew off and smashed on the floor. I had not laughed so much since one other nasty teacher had a heart attack.
4. By 17 years of age I was getting ok in the football and playing at a fairly high level but a goalkeeper ( damned great hunk of a fellow) kicked my leg to pieces. Six months in plaster cast. Got back to decent level football by about 21 but broke a leg again. The third broken leg was through climbing. Memory here was having the screws taken out after 8 months - as they unscrewed the screws and pins I felt no pain but I did feel the turns in the head. Weird I thought.
5. Oh yes I was made an honary member of the "Polar Bear Society".
6. Enjoyed canoes and kayaks. Even got a couple of Finnish medels and coached the Finnish youth team to silver medel at European Championships. Wonderful memories those. But also I remember kayaking around North Cape when a stone came down missing me by less than a metre. Some damned tourist wanted to trhow rocks down. But cannot complain I used to "trundle" ( throw rocks down mountains) quite often when I was active in the mountains.
7. As a kid I would often walk about 50 English miles on a weekend just for the fun of it and with a rucksack on me back. My mother had only one rule : be back by four on Sunday. That was the Suffolk coastline and countryside. The experience once with the daughter of the farmer ( I had asked to camp overnight on his land) remains in my memory as a vivid wonderful thing. Lust can be beautiful.
8. I was sent to Finland to work on a project in 1976. Never seemed to have lived in the UK after that although Sweden and Norway have been lived-in. Lapland, or the southern part of lapland, is my home. Our garden has many hedgehogs, squirrels, mousey-mousies for the cat, birds aplenty and for the first year I am trying to grow peas in the garden. But I do not like gardening, fishing or hunting so there......

Bliar Welcomes Decision Not To Prosecute.
He would wouldn't he, said a source close to the deals.
He would, I guess, said a source already in prison.
Fuck me I would have welcomed that too said a criminal still on holiday.
Lord Lucan can return now to the mother of all democracies.
Sori to put you under so much stress Mr Blair. Really sori.
You prat!

BITS AND PIECES
Vinegar Tits is losing it again as "Comment is F..." gently rebels against the hidden guardians of truth. Sori but I had to read through those posts. But something good came from it.
Simon Jenkins, no ranter and raver, wrote a good piece in support of the BBC. He was not really a Manchester Guardian type although he is learning, he is learning. Shame that Vinegar Tits has not even begun to learn.
Leeds United FC have angered their overpaid and brain-challenged footballers. No salary has been paid last month. The powers that be in UK football circles find this a very bad thing and say that these football players should not play a "friendly game" right now unless they get paid.
Leeds football players complain that they may not be able meet their financial obligations. Poor buggers!!! Are there are there any footballers left who can even connect with the real world?
Putin met Finnish President, Tarja Halonen, yesterday. It was clear that Putin was really laughing and joking, in happy ways, with her. Watch this space.

RISING WATER
By Steve Bowles 1991 ( first published in "Canoeist Magazine")
Sometimes it is good to read again thoughts once written. This little piece I have just found from an old box where spiders lurk with my old texts.
RISING WATER
The North Wales water was high and the tell-tale boulder was covered as I looked down from the main A5 road. Welsh white water in flood. The big rock covered.
Stranded sheep. Sleeping wet rotton carcases were stuck between the dancing branches that jerked and hung beside the flowing river. The bodies were limp and sodden, dirty and ugly. Unnatural death is always ugly.
Small landslides and brown swirling water made warning sounds in the gorge and safe treetop birds chirped loudly on the leafless branches. Waiting river beneath.
Browns and oranges and the faded yellow covering of Autumn made the descent seem less step than it really was. Wet and slippery.
Kayak, sliding in front, down to the river. The waiting eddy was small with helpful hold-me-still stumps by the water-levelled riverbank. Cold feelings in the gorge.
The river was new. Rocks that normally were predictable in their place were now submerged, hidden, by the rain with spate. All was new and past knowledge meant little. No funrun.
Spraydeck on ; one handed and fidgety. Paddle pushing against the bank to get into the stream. Gliding over to the opposite bank S-style gave some sense of control and for sure gave a better chance of finding a better line down and around the soon-coming bends. Rapid rocks and drops.
The now-seen rocktops were soft and green. Waves formed themselves in new fashions and places, catching the unsuspecting nature by surprise as the stream gauged its way downwards through buckled up brances and laid down grasses.
As the hard rain falls so too the new found falls rain hard upon the brain. Pumping and puffing energy wasting itself in the tense-nerved feelings. I wished for company as the sharpest bend was turned while keeping one eye open for an eddy. I hit the rock. Tried to lean. Legs straining to turn the kayak downstream.
The water played its tricks like an arm wrestler at pub table games.
I couldn't let up but I couldn't beat the force. Strength... power....leaving me. Water constant. Slipping....down....fear....asleep.
Curtains closed and clock ticking away. I bumped my way ahead. The sound of water, bubbling and whirling in my ears. My eyes half open, my body weak.
What a night...I turned as the flushing toilet thudded its finishing programme. Slipped back into bed and tried to get back into my white-water world.
The sea was short-sharp waved and the cliffs were splattered by .........

BOOKS AND WRITERS NEVER TO BE FORGOTTEN
Yesterday I picked up some words from Laurie Lee. Maybe a few remember him as a wonderful writer of poetry and prose. Anyway after struggling with a newspaper text concerning the round up of the news for the last week I felt in need of decent and good writing thoughts. I turned perchance to Laurie Lee.
Then damit his article called " The Village That Lost Its Children" sprang out at me. I was taken back to 1966 and that Aberfan tragedy.
The whole history of this political-economy where kids die young and the rich keep on going and going smacked me again and again.
Is it worth writing anything today when all has been said already?
Of course it is.

Gawdi Brown, the Scot leader of a Southern England regime, calls for less cannabis habits in his area of social responsibility. At the same time we learn that Kenya ( was that ever a British responsibilty?) demands nappies for each and every donkey that walks. God bless the new moral code of that new labour government with a history. Nappies on globalised seagulls I say and especially upon global fat pigs that fly high on the backs of human being(s).
I wanted to say more but the rules here are as tight as an arse from a Catholic in the waiting rooms.

A WONDERFUL VISIT, OLD FRIENDS TRAVEL BACK HOME AGAIN
Last night was a good night in word and deed.
Old time friends visited and stayed awhile.
Slept overnight peacefully.
Talked and chatted
Until the time was right to sleep.
Is it not nice to be home again
When you close your eyes
And really think again?
it's alright.
Such wonderful summertime blues from a small group
Back home
With an age
With ages
.........
Over 400
And still going strong.
Anyway we did the best we could do and that was just good enough.

FRANS EEMIL SILLANPÄÄ : " MEEK HERITAGE " ?
Finland has only one Nobel Prize winner for Literature. Sillanpää.
He wrote about the ways that everyday folk got fooled and tricked by those that were in power stations and promotional game-plays.
What can be done?
Would the so-called Western "permission" be that which which is either Communism or Fascism deals?
Sillanpää, like Robert Frost, helped a poetic rationality to exist.
Elemental my dear.
Do we really have to fight again and again ?

FINNISH-RUSSIAN BORDER OR EU BORSTAL
Zola is confused as history repeats itself. To be human is always confusing.
After Gorbechops wrote his message nobody listened but everybody loved it when the big spirit king danced around. The time was right to shit on the Russians. ( History?). Then a new voice came around slowly and re-considered. If we Putin this you must put in that it was agreed. But no.
The greedy West wanted it all as always.
Problem?
Finland used to have the longest border with Russia that was peaceful for at least the main years of history. Today Finns might suffer because of NATO or through the EU border that is no longer Finnish.
IT IS TIME TO RE-INVENT THE "FINLAND STATION" before it is too late.

FINNISH HUMOUR : an example
I was reminded yesterday of a fairly long-lasting joke here in Finland. It concerns trousers and culture. Anyway damn the academic stuff let me get straight to the point in a Finland that is famous for having trousers worn so low down to the bum that the first stage of the moon is always seen to be rising.
So the Finnish joke is this :-
Question : Why do Finns wear braces.
Answer : To keep their trousers up.
Question : Why do Swedes have a head?
Answer : To stop their braces getting twisted.
Bom bom

JUST A QUICKIE FROM CLACTON UK
Claction UK is a seaside resort or it once was. Anyway Clacton has been in the news recently. People throw themselves off bridges and all that. Your Zola has other good memories.
Football team and pub-like supporters. Team of coaches bound for Clacton. Weekend rave in good community spirit. Coaches departed at 05.00 in the morning ( damn it the night had hardly stopped but that was it). Beers on the coaches anyway. Arrived in Clacton about 10.00. Pubs not yet open. So a football game by the nearest parking place.
All welcomed to this football game, now on concrete in Clacton and the supporters were in the majority god damn them all. Tough game coming. But only half an hour to the pub opening hours. Anybody can survive 30 minutes of football ????? After being black and blue and feeling slightly under the weather a saviour came in one of the supporters. He was what used to be called an old-aged-pensioner ( about 70 I guess) and he fairly kicked the ball away from our centre-forward as if life and death was a big issue here.
The ball landed up high and on the rooftops.
The roof was the Police Station which had not been noticed yet.
Pensioner climbs up drain pipe and attempts to get the ball from above.
Along comes the cops.
" I have lost my ball", came the cry from above as the police demanded a quick explanation.
The old grandpa threw down the ball and then climbed down the drain pipe and we thought we saw a smile on his face.
The cops grabbed him.
We were another half an hour late because of this ( the pubs had already opened by the time we got there) but we had a few beers left in the coach.
That was the first few hours of our community event in Clacton UK.
For the rest........ ?
Trousers would get terribly inward looking and lavenderBlue envious.

ESSENTIAL SOULS IN OXFORD HANGING OUT TO DRY
Wycliffe, Oxford : This rather Modern sacred part of the Oxford tradition seems to be in sexuality debates. The dirty linen is being placed on the sagging line for all to see and the theological nicities are somewhat unwashed in fact.
The main pubic debate is between one "BULL" and "STORKY ELAINE" ( you are forgiven if this sounds like Merkin and lavenderBlue in their nightitime jobs). Anyway a certain BULL is being "turned" by STORKY ELAINE.
The question we all ask now is this : Is this Bull for the turning? Will Storky Elaine have her way in this horny issue?
( you read this second here -- Independent newspaper got in first lucky buggers)

EU VOTING BLOC MOVES TO BAN HARRY POTTER
Poland has been urging EU members to ban Harry Potter.
Too many witches here already it was said.
The only official response so far comes from the UK : " Too late, too late, the Queen cried, Harry Potter has already been well satisfied."
The President of France is considering his response and it is rumoured that he is trying to get contact with his wife to get the details correct for a public comment.

WHAT AN AFTERNOON THAT WAS
Had a meeting. Got told off.
I was accused of "looking down" at a female member.
She accused me (your clean and pure Zola) of inappropriate behaviour.
I answered that I was looking down naturally and her low cut dress was great.
Then I said, quite harmlessly and in the spirit of Rochdale, " If I had a pair like that I would not go out of the house at all - I would play with myself all day long."
Anyway it got worse and I was asked to leave.
I pleaded truth and honesty but.... inappropriate behaviour.
What should I do?

FIRST PREPARATIONS FOR UK TRAVEL
In two weeks time your social Zola will arrive in the UK and try to survive for 10 days. Already a few preparations have been made :-
a) a set of fake passports and driving licences
b) a bullet proof vest and a tin helmet
c) a fake beard
d) a new dictionary of English language ( pocket sized with 10 pages, awesome!)
e) a previous high-octane diet of cabbage and cauliflower so my farts can act as a safety system against irritants and blue-meanies.
If anybody has more suggestions please inform. Your poor Zola is not well versed in the UK anymore and will clearly get lost a few times ( or worse).

A FEW WEEKEND FRIENDS ON TV IN FINLAND
As you know this blogger is no TV watcher but a few bits and pieces are more than just ok. In our house of a weekend we look forward to two TV programmes. From Lapland we watch "MORSE" and we watch "TEAM PULLMAN". ( no idea what these are called in the uk but who cares). The Oxford Morse makes me laugh out loud and then smile with a reflexivity that bends me damned back. Team Pullman is that long needed answer to whatever happened to the Likely Lads and Dennis Waterman on heat with a song. Oh when will I see the likes of such again in my own time?
Liked the blonde bit too.
Me missus smiles at that too.

ZOLA REFUSED !!!!!
After a few days of work, goddammitt-damit, your loyal blogger Zola thought up a new scam. Better ways of earning a crust methoughts.
These three days of work....really quite tiresome.
So a visit to the new "Sperm-Cloning Centre" was made and an offer of high quality proteins made. ( ought not to have had a few beers before the test I guess).
You guessed it.
Zola was refused. The sample "not fit for...."
It seems that they are after "good workers" and "loyal subjects" and this Zola did not satisfy the test.
But don't worry I stole their porno books.

BALLS TO BE THE BEDROCK OF OUR SOCIETY
AT LAST a male attitude is taken by the British government. No more Blairy airy fairy namby pamby stuffy. Mr Brown ( who does not like his name history revealed) has tickled his fancy boy and an erection has been observed. Balls is now put up high to look after the little ones. Disgusting said some but Mr Brown is not for the moving. This is a history is it not.
Brown said that " Children and family are the bedrock of our society" and what they need is Balls.
Actually what PM Brown ( with a good nose for promotion himself) meant by this was that " our society" must be "bedrocked" through more uniforms and grades and even a little caning would not go amiss. For the elite to survive and to look after OUR(?) society it is necessary for the (schhhh....schhhh...shush never said a word) working class to be fucked again.
Balls to helping working class folk.
Sori - that was a PRIVATE joke.

BREAKING WIND-E-NEWS
We have learnt today that Tony Blair has been sent to the Middle East through the powers of both the Vatican and (what amounts to the same kind of thing) his wife.
From the good Vatican we learn that the Pope sent Mr Blair on a quest to find both redemption and grace and the Middle East was the place to be sent in this search for a heavenly legacy.
From his wife Catholic-Cherry-Intact we learn that : "this was exactly what my husband deserved after all his past hard work and attempts at spirituality for real." When asked if she would be joining him on this quest Catholic-Cherry-Intact said that : " There are many things yet to be finalised in our agreements but it is all for the good."
Your good Zola will try and keep you informed of progress as it happens.
This might take a time.

MESSAGE FROM TROUSERS
We have been asked to inform our readers that Trousers is back although still under shock. He had, as we know, been "travelling" and his travels were connected to a certain court case ( see Judge with and without Trousers reports). A friend of Trousers said to us that : " he will be ok soon although his loss is great and he feels hard pressed to blog right now"). On behalf of the establishment Trousers is forgiven and no jokes will be made at his extra expense concerning this court case. No need to leg it again.
BTW : Anticant remains refusing to answer our questions on this matter.

CUTTING THE MUSTARD
Due to more Finnish things getting prime-time your favourite Zola decides to say more in this atmospheric angst. ( Change colours now)
After one of my texts was hijacked by the www.coms I received an e-mail from a skateboarder. Yes! A skateboarder. Me? But it seems that one of my anti-sport-pro texts was thought to be a youthful celebration of skateboarding (which it was).
Anyway to come to the mustard and cut the crap : here is news :
Finns are mentioned everywhere in international skateboarding circles. There is even a board with " TURUN SINAPPI" splashed across it ( for sale in most countries). But this is the problem. Turun Sinappi is no longer Finnish due to takeovers and all that.
This is why, in our good house, we use " AURAN SINAPPI".
No skateboard yet has that on it.
Zola remains ahead.

Finns Are ....
More American than the Americans? Such has been said many times.
But it seems that Scotland and even Ireland have better links.
But most twin-towns with Finland come from the wicked east.
Very strange.
Anyway as more Finn-types get responding here on this blog I guess i should talk Finland more. God bless me frurkin mole.
It was 1976 when i first landed in Finland to live and work and .....
well a few memories might come out.
Must check first to see if the guilty persons are still alive.

SCOTLAND Highlands and Lowlands
Let us consider Scotland. It was those Scots that almost invented the Industrial Revolution and the damned ideology that supported it towards Blairism. But that was a low point in history just like the clearing of the Highlands.
But a few Highlands remain.
Oban remains full of chambermaids.
Glencoe remains full of wild weekend gullies to ascend.
In Burghead we may still sing a folk song or two. ( go fishing too)
and
Even on Staffa a few bits of 19th century poetry remain in the cave.
I know because I saw Antiprank writing it.
By The Way : Scotland and Finland are quite close in that they tend to keep the population at about the same rate ( no progress).
Land policy you see.
Fuck the Duke of Westminster I say.

AN ETHICAL COMPETITION
In Finland the Midsummer period ( a few days of boozing) is always ending in a kind of angst. Such is the Finnish character. But there is one way to counter that. It is called the game of human resources. ( if you thought Monopoly had it all ideologically correct then just try this).
How many human resources will be lost ( that is deadified or simply lost) for the Greater Finland this Midsummer?
Answers can come by this blog and no statistical analysis will be paid for.
How many Finns ( or nearly Finns) will die in Midsummer madness?
This competition ends on Sunday night-Monday-morning.
How many Finns dead this Midsummer? That is the question.
Check with the Finnish newspapers to see how important this is each year.
Bugger it I'm off for another beer.

TRUST THE EXPERT-SYSTEMS
For any European agreement to be agreed it is necessary to trust the experts that satisfy the expert-systems. This means to deny the public space and voice (if allowed).
It would ne nice to hear from folk : who are these experts that WE trust?
Perhaps a few names could be presented on this blog.
Who is trustworthy in this EU ( or even nationalistic) facade?

FOR SERIOUS EUROPEAN READERS
The latest EU summit has been so kind to animals like cats and dogs and, of course, the big business leaders. But the spiders and the frogs and the reindeers have been ignored. It has been said by one newspaper that the EU is the "Poodle of Blair". Does Blair have a poodle? I guess we will see by Saturday.
Hares have closed down an Italian airport at the same time as Merkel ( no she is not one of the three little pigs) has tried to gather tortoises together.
Tonight I will read again George Orwell and Animal Farm in 1984+ and I will also find an animal for "me" tonight.
In Finland the Midsummer Festivals begin.

JULIE BIRCHILL FINALLY FINDS PROMOTION
WE HEAR that the ever-youthful JB has said no more to the "Julie" of her past and her journalism exploits. She prefers the BIRCH-hill it seems. As she is reported as quitting the newspaper game she enters the Theology college.
Those that will say "What the fuck will be the difference?" are ok in this living hell.

A LITTLE PIECE OF ENGLAND ......
In a small and insignificant place far north there will be today a special celebration.
As the first English bishop visiting Lapland (to fulfil the desire against pagan ways) he was taken away to stay with his private heavens.
You see in some places the Falklands tragedy does not become a farce.
To forget is to fail and to forget that "FUCKLAND" philosophy is to die in the "Happy Consciousness" that is ..... well.... could we say Thatcher and Blair coming together.
Flag this if you want.

Saturday Night and Sunday Morning - stop press
Bob Dylan was honoured again in Europe but what was news was that one of his songs was heard to be blasting from two political Napoleans.
Herra Brown was seen and heard playing "Don't Think Twice it's alright" at volume and with a smile that would scare. ( It aint no use to sit and wonder why babe, if you don't know by now...)
But just a little wheeze across the waterside-front the new turd-way-guru ( actually Peter Sellers in drag) from France was playing the same song.
Who said that the soul of the EU constitution was dead?

Mr Burgess I Have "Seen" Your Daughter
Due to the unbelievable becoming so popular this ragged soul retired to bed and to read again that "Clockwork Orange". It was only now, not then, that I understood just why it was one of those banned books in UK morality-circles. Shit it was the New Labour Manifesto.

THE ESSENCE OF BLOGS
Due to the recovering periods of those three intrepid travellers it is necessary to keep the faith. We must appreciate that living in places like Nottingham is difficult. We must understand that seeds sown in places like Yorkshire are seeds in need of culture(ing). To be born or bred so far away from the sea is to be, to say the least, disadvantaged.
But the blogotechnosphere helps the disadvantaged and gives them a sure-new-start in real life. The essence of blogs is, as Andre Gide well knew, the heart and soul of the boat and the sea.
A boat and a blog was never designed to remain in safe harbours.
Today even disadvantaged folk from Nottingham and Harrogate can enjoy the real world and become.......
Surely this is a good thing.

NOW THE UK LABOUR PARTY SUPPORTS DIFFERENCE
The one size fits all was never a socialist ideal. It was a nasty management ideology as well as a nasty way to dumb down towards profits. At last the UK Labour party begins to see itself in the mirror and the image is ... well.... fuckin discustard. Rumours are going around that mr Bliar was born because of a failure in condom size and a condom not fit for purpose in that situation. But anyway Blair was conceived.
The Labour party wannabees, the louts and the careerists have been sucking up to Blair for so long that even the Daily Mirror is joining thee Sun and the Daily Telegraph and the Daily Mail, Express and Guardian in the Blair is a Bad Bastard campaign. Even the bear Murdoch has begun to abuse the self-esteem of that loser-Blair. But the smiles from both front and backbenchers in the sickly Labor camp have only sucked in what was all to do with a failed condom. Time to spit now is it?
Of course George Orwell, in his book "Coming Up For Air" said things long before about the nasty Blairisms. He wrote :-
" Rotten fish in a rubber skin. Bombs of filth bursting into your mouth." (p.27).
As the condom splits the time comes to spit rather than swallow.
( ah shit the standard of journalism today......... sori. )

SHOPPING IN THE ME WORLD AGAIN
Shopping
Again
In my Me World.
Found myself, again,
Shopping,
Far far Away
In The me World.
I went living again
Off slaves,
Living
in my Me World.
Again.
Off slaves.
I felt the warmth
I felt the heat.
I dressed for an occasion.
I became.
I became.
The bang.
Absorbed.
Famous
A hero.
I felt the thud
I felt the dud.
I felt.
I felt a seeping and a
Creeping
and a kicking
As a thud
and a duddering hit hits
hits
Hard.
The lost world
Hitting,
Always hitting.
Shopping

In my Me World.

ON SERIOUS STUFF
This blog has tried in the past to open up a few big things ( like the legs of LB, with very little success) and this blog must take some blame for the present "anomie" condition.
However, without trying to whinge and cringe, imp or whimp, this blog finds a trend towards a far too independent positioning. This alienates the necessary ideological structure of truth and reason. The significant centre is debased and alienated through such open systems of anything-goes, so long as it pays, labour.
In a word.
I FUCKED UP and I helped kill so many in the process.
( I now go off to Yellow Duck and Anticant for therapy).
Please forgive me I want my legacy.
