WE MUST CHARGE THE BANKS FOR BEING OVERDRAWN

Those that get into pitifully bad debt must end up paying.

After all those savings accounts and pensions and insurance premiums it is high time that the overdrawn banks paid their dues.

Don't you realise, you silly anti-capitalist, that the banks do us a FAVOUR by graciously allowing us to deposit our hard-earned money with them for safe keeping? They rightly expect us to pay them interest and sundry fees for saving us the worry of figuring out how to invest our money wisely, and giving them the means to gamble insanely with it (on our behalf, of course).

Secretly slipping them a £61 billion bailout of taxpayers' money to keep them off the rocks of their own recklessness, so that they can pay themselves £millions of Christmas bonuses, is all in the day's work for a NuLabour Chancellor guided by the financial world genius Gordon Brown.

Do grow up!
