Both wine and bread at confirmation were fake and this small site might just attract others that experienced the same. Critical voices? Those that participate? Who knows. For those that find sympathy with a walk on the wild sides of life, mountains, rivers or forests but do not pretend to escape. Anecdote.
Two weeks ago I had some stuff to deliver to the funeral director.
I phoned him and said 'can I drop this off tomorrow as I am going out to watch the big game?'.
He said 'so am I'.
Aha.
We arranged to meet at 'his' pub.
I had never been there and never met him before.
Got there at the end of the first half. Met a friend of mine.
I said 'is there a Celtic end and a Rangers end to this pub?'
No!
I eventually found the undertaker right in the midst of the most tribal of the tribal areas.
Gave him the stuff and bought him a beer - but he was too excited to actually talk.
So, really weird to meet him 2 days later in normal 'Private Frazer' mode.
I left almost immediately after the game but, later, was not surprised to hear that, that night, there had been a number of incidents relating to the pub across the road - a pub of the opposite faith.
I, sometimes, wonder what Century we are in. This 'village' is especially bad.
