HOW TO CUT THAT CYNICISM KNOT ?

For sometime now I have felt a strong sense of cynicism eating at my life-blood. I began to live in a kind of fear. Was indifference to be the next step? Indifference the last refuge of the repressed and the seduced. Jesus wept !

Climbing out, up and away from this crevasse of ice remains, I realise now, a constant struggle. The ideal to climb out is one essential ingredient for survival. In a sense this, it seemed to me, was a labour of love. OK for that. Vital it may be for May-Being. But vitality is not easy.

You seem to be suffering Zola. Try fish and chips in those newspapers you read and mix with lots of salt and vinegar. Then get back to town and join the authentic world that rocks the boat and loves doing it.

Zola, a cynic is a disillusioned idealist. You are not disillusioned - you are just depressed. Whether fish and chips is your preferred remedy I don't know, but there's a warm welcome awaiting you in the burrow Snug and Ben is waiting to pull a silver tankardfull of your favourite tipple. Even the Beadle is practising a welcoming smile. So cheer up!

Nature my man, nature. Soak up the sun and smell the wet woods. That is my usual medicine for the doldrums.

Zola, where are you? Your fans are getting anxious. You haven't been seen here or in the burrow Snug for some days, and the Beadle is preparing to set forth with Wooffie [our brandy-bearing St. Bernard] to scour the Lapland snows unless you report back soon. Hope you are OK.

And the same too from me. I haven't contributed to your "Cynicism" post because I would have rambled incoherently, but I keep looking back on your site to see if you're around. Give us a nod, mate.

I second all that.

If you haven't heard 'Hymnn for my Soul' by Joe Cocker, then you will not have heard 'Pass It On'.
I hear it and i see and feel you.
i hope you understand.

Winnicot said that "just good enough" is Ok.
If anybody asks me who is Winnicot I shall go back to bed or the pub or...travel to a football game.

Wasn't he a sort of psychological Dr Spock?

There are 2 winnicots in Wikiwotsit.
Our Kev and Our Donald.
Our Donald advocated us all playing with each other.
I am sure that ZoZo, having rested will enlighten me...I am confident that Anticant is correct. All this research is giving me a headache....

Lavender, you are supposed to draw things.
Leave the thinking to others and you won't get headaches.
