GEORGE ORWELL RIGHT BEFORE BUT TODAY ......
During "World War 2" Orwell was right to criticise those, like Alex Comfort, who would make public their refusenik-to-war stance.
Today?
Today Orwell would be wrong.
Today, as war seems "inevitable" yet again, we must say NO.
Today we smell those rats already before the nasty event.
Today we have no excuse.Today we must say NO !
Eric Blair would, I suspect, agree today.

Bollocks.
Who is this George Orwell?
Who is this Eric Blair? The only Blair who matters is Tony Blair, and he would disagree. He gets his opinions from God, so you musn't disagree wih him, must you?
I think the poster above has confused a certain Mr Bliar with an Eric Blair but until I get a response from New Labor HQ.dot.con I cannot confirm this.
So please wait for the details.
Isn't Ian Blair to get a mention?
He just has a mention ( se above).
Agreed zola.
Is there a blogging equivalent of Godwin's law, for those who wheel out Orwell/Blair (Eric, pas mon Cherie) to back up their anyoldtired point?
If so, I invoke it now. J'accuse Zola. Freshen up, ma petite chou.
Oops, mons and mas in the wrong place. Je suis desole.
Anyway, have you heard what's going on over at CiF?
