BRASS MONKEYS DAY FOR ZOLA
After a fairly warm and strange winter we are faced today with minus 32 degrees centigrade and that wood fire must be really fired up. The testicles of Zola, usually in good order and of respectable size, are withering if not totally imploding into the state of nothingless. So it must be a sympathy day today.

A man's gotta do and all that. You ever tried central heating?
Whisky
Hello again YD and all : Whisky may be a kind of central heating but let me set the record straight. I should have replied better to our ole Yellow Duck.
yes - we have central heating too as well as two big wood fires. We live in the "sticks" but not like noble savages.
But - the electricity bills go up and up no matter if there is hot or cold, much rain or no rain and so on.
electricity, as capital. is pathetic.
so we use wood fires as much as we can.
we usually collect wood for nothing from various places during Spring and the Autumn periods. Then we chop it up and store it and dry it and then we burn it.
Finance = our working time.
benefits? We think many.
I bet you guys didn't know the name of the large block we put our bits of wood onto before splitting them?.
In English it is called 'a chump'.
Ooooooh. Learn something new every day.
Like Zola, I am a whisky man in winter - even though my bollox are well insulated by coverage in CiF.
Try rubbing Deep Heat onto them. Actually, that's probably not a good idea unless you fancy doing an involuntary 5 mile run.
You might hate me to death if you knew what the temperature has been here today.
No, I am not so cruel.
Getting better all the time. Today as Thursday 8th it is only minus 28 degrees. Balls expanding .... ?
